Condolences

Thomas M. Lambert

     Thomas M. Lambert, 74, of Sparta, died Thursday, April 6, 2006 at his home. He was born on April 19, 1931 in Sparta, WI to Grover and Hazel Grace (Kern) Lambert. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1949.

     He worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad as a telegrapher. He then worked for Trane Co in La Crosse for 35 years, retiring in 1993. He married Peggy Norgard on January 16, 1982 in Sparta. They resided in Sparta. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Badger Lodge 345 in La Crosse.

     Tom enjoyed dirt bike racing, photography, art, woodcarving, hunting, fishing, skiing, golfing, and computers. He was a HAM radio operator and had a real passion for model airplanes, starting the Sparta Area Model Airplane Club in 1978.

     He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Sparta; a brother, Timothy (Arlene) Lambert of Wausau, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his kitties, Thunder, Windy, and Amelia.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, David and John.

     Memorial services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta.

     Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
