Scott A. Steffen, 32, of Sparta died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in his home.

     He was born on June 21, 1974 in Hillsboro to Dale Steffen and Linda Liek. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1993. He worked at Dominos Pizza, Sparta Co-op and for the past 9 years at Mathew’s Inc.

     Scott enjoyed playing softball, shooting pool, fishing and hunting.

     He is survived by his special friend, Coral Harrison of Sparta, mother, Linda (Greg) Connelly of Sparta; his father, Dale Steffen of Kendall; brother, Dale (Ranae) Steffen of Sparta; maternal grandmother, Emma Liek of Sparta; paternal grandparents, LeRoy and Janice Steffen of Elroy.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Vernon Liek.

     Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Sparta with Reverend David Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah.

     Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta on Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

     The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
