Philip A. McCredden, 66, of Sparta died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. He was born on August 28, 1939 in Sparta, Wisconsin to William and Marie (Abbott) McCredden. He grew up in the Milwaukee area with his family. They later returned to Sparta. Philip graduated from Sparta High School 1958. He worked at Spartek until he retired due to health reasons. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Sparta. He enjoyed his church and family.

     He is survived by three sisters, Judy (Ralph) Baxter of Fort Wayne, IN, Ruth (Kerry) Buttke of Naperville, IL, Priscilla (Charles) Siaosi of Hobbs, NM; three brothers, Daniel (Rose) McCredden of Thorp, WI, Dennis (Nadine) McCredden of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and Stephan McCredden of Sparta.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rosella; two brothers, Michael, and Wilson; two infant sisters, Mary, and Lois.

     Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at New Life Assembly of God, Sparta with Reverend Richard Krocka officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

     Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
