Mary M. Hammon, 70, of Cataract, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 in her home. She was born in Richland County, Wisconsin to Ferdinand and Margaret (Schroeder) Federman on June 23, 1935. She grew up in the Cataract area and lived in Wisconsin. She moved to Phoenix for 10 years and moved back to Cataract last October when she retired. She loved the Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Diamond Backs. She enjoyed flower gardens, fishing, camping, crocheting, and music. She enjoyed her family and was a very devoted mother. She is survived by her children, Mike (Rhonda) Flick of Sparta, Elly (Keith) Poppe of Cochrane, WI, Patricia (Jess) Sackett of Rockland, Ann Gile of Cataract, Tammy (John) Bingham of Cataract, Betsy (Nick) Santucci of Big Sandy, TN, Barb (Jim Hatlan) Czarnik of Ferryville, WI, Joe (Jackie) Gaulke of Hixton, Diane (Dean) Januesheske of Wyeville; 11 grandchildren, Angie, Mindee, Jason, Kelly, Tony, Bob, Christina, Cassandra, Jessica, Doug, and Mikey. 3 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Matthew; step-children, Yolanda Klabunde of Milwaukee, and Kathy Hammon of La Crosse; 2 brothers, Ted (Barb) Federman of Cataract, Frank Federman of Lone Rock, WI; 1 sister, Grace Hammon of Sparta; former husbands, Richard Gaulke, and James Flick; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Margaret Federman; former husband, Steven Gile; husband, Walter Hammon; brothers, Wally, Myron and Herbie; 1 sister, Alice. Memorial services will on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta with Reverend James Leston officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
