Mary Ann Muraski

Mary Ann Muraski, 86, of Sparta, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born on July 16, 1919 in Sparta to Charles and Sidna (Holden) Roy. She graduated Sparta High School in 1937 and attended La Crosse State University for two years. She married Edwin Muraski in Milwaukee in 1942. They lived in New York, Washington, Texas, and Illinois while Edwin was in the service. They then moved to Sparta to raise their family. Edwin passed away on December 2, 1989. Mary enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping, and traveling. Everyone was welcome by her and she was always there for you. She is survived by her children, Robert “Bobby” (Renee) Muraski of Angelo, Ronald “Cokie” (Lynne) Muraski of Sparta, and Jeanne “Susie” (Jay) Choutka of Sparta; two grandchildren, Jeannine and Max; two special nephews, Steve Roy and Jeff Roy both of Wonewoc, WI; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; infant twin boys, Terry and Jerry; and her brothers and sisters, Waymeth Bula, George Roy, and Nellie Holmlund. Funeral services will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, with Reverend LeRoy Sua officiating. Burial will be in Mt Hope Cemetery, Sparta. Family and friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home on Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Sua Foundation, Inc. |
