Loudene Anne Ames, 72, of Sparta died Saturday, September 16, 2006 in her home. She was born on April 13, 1934 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Clarence and Alta (Wilcox) Larson. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1952. In April of 1953, she married Hugh Davis. To this union two sons were born, Bruce and Daniel Davis. This marriage ended in divorce. Loudene married Richard A. Ames on July 3, 1970. A son Joel was born in February of 1976. Loudene was employed by the Monroe County Department of Human Services for 22 and ½ years. She retired in 1997. Subsequently she held many part time jobs. She is survived by three sons, Bruce Davis of Madison, Daniel (Jeanne) Davis of Sparta, Joel (special friend Megan) Ames of Sparta; three granddaughters, Missy, Sara, and Heidi Davis; also one very special s urrogate grandson, Caleb; step son, Keith Ames; step daughter, Laurie (Jerome) De Florian and children of Coon Valley, WI, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on February 5, 1986; her parents, and her grandparents. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Sparta with Reverend David Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Prairie Cemetery, rural Sparta. Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta on Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
