Condolences

Jason R. Lincoln

     Jason R. Lincoln, 37, of West Salem, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at his home after an accident in his garage working on an automobile. He was born on April 9, 1971 in Madison, WI to John and Mary (Owen) Lincoln. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School. He then attended Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse.

     Jason worked at Northern Engraving in West Salem, Mathew’s Inc in Sparta, Outer’s Laboratories in Onalaska, and most recently worked at Western Wisconsin Plastics in West Salem. He married Tammy Aney in Sparta. They later divorced.

     Jason was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and small engines, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and golfing. He loved spending time with his boys.

     He is survived by his 2 sons, Tyren Lincoln and Ashton Lincoln of West Salem; his mother, Mary Lincoln of Sparta; his father, John (Marjorie) Lincoln of Hartland, WI; his sister, Stephanie (Mike) James of Oshkosh, WI; brothers, Chris Lincoln of Sparta and Andrew Lincoln of Hartland; a step brother, Benjamin (Jennifer) Wollner of Sussex, WI; his former wife, Tammy Lincoln of West Salem; his nieces and nephews, Derek Lincoln of Sparta, Maddie, Lukas, and Elizabeth James of Oshkosh, and Clayton, John P. and Libby Wollner of Sussex, WI; cousins, Bob, Jeff, and Ann Zay, and Cathy and Amy Owen; uncles, Dick Owen of Sparta, Bill (Barb) Owen of Bettendorf, IA, Joe Lincoln of Tomah, Chuck Lincoln of Tomah, and Jim (Judy) Zay of Sparta; and other relatives and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

     Memorial services will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, with Reverend David Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

     Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to his children’s trust fund.

     The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
