Elsa M. Pierce Lazarr, 87, of Phoenix, AZ and formerly El Centro, CA, and Sparta died Monday, July 7, 2008 in Phoenix. She was born on October 25, 1920 in Cornell, WI to Percy L. and Nellie B. (Shattuck) Pierce.

     She is survived by a son, Charles (Carol) Lazarr of Phoenix; two grandsons, Sean Lazarr, Charles Jr. (Natalie) Lazarr; a great grandson, Zachary; a sister, Leone Pokrand of Sparta, a nephews, Thomas Westpfahl of Tomah, Steven Pokrand of Sparta; three nieces Sharon (Howard) Sanborn of Sparta, Shirley Buckley of Cottage Grove, WI, and Judy Zeleniuk of Running Springs, CA.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty years, Carl Lazarr; a brother, Clyde Pierce, and a sister, Irene Pierce.

     Graveside Memorial Services will be Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Angelo. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Angelo.

     The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta is assisting the family with arrangements.
