June M. Brown, 60, of Sparta died Monday, June 19, 2006 in her home. She was born on June 28, 1945 in Sparta to Marvin and Cathryn (Smith) Tucker. She grew up in the Cataract area and graduated from Sparta High School in 1963. June married Francis Brown on August 29, 1964 at the Chapel of The Bells in Anaheim, CA.

     After marriage they lived in Milwaukee and moved back to Sparta in 1969. June worked at Spartek and then at Sparta Brush. She was a member at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Sparta.

     She is survived by her husband, Francis of Sparta; her children, Mischell (Steve) Schur of Sparta, Robert Brown of Sparta, Robin (Jason) Findley of Mindoro, Max Brown of Sparta; five grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Austin Findley, Aubrey Findley, Sampson Schur, and Storm Schur; three brothers, Tad (Ruth) Tucker of Kendall, Ronald (Zell) Tucker of Milton, WI, Douglas (Pat) Tucker of Sparta; two sisters, Doreen (John) Bergman of Milton, WI, and L. Jean (Norm) Winchell of Janesville, WI.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Amelia Foster, Nancy Kobernick, Gloria Hendrickson; a brother, Bruce Tucker, and an infant grandson, Royce Alan Moody Jr.

     Memorial services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta with Reverend Mark Wessel officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

     Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home 106 W. Franklin Street, Sparta on Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the funeral home on Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
