Marion M. Jones, 90 of Sparta died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, Sparta. She was born on August 25, 1917 in Minnesota to Andy and Maud (McIntyre) Clark.

     She married Ralph D. Jones on February 25, 1939. After marriage they farmed in the Leon and Coles Valley area. Marion worked at the Morrow Memorial Home for 16 years. She was a member of the Sparta United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Ruth Circle.

     She is survived by a son, Jack Jones of Sparta; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Andy (Mildred) Clark of Waukesha, WI; and 2 sisters, Margaret Eddy of Neillsville, WI and Patricia (Arthur) Hovde of Eau Claire, WI.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph on October 5, 1985; a daughter-in-law, Shirley; 2 sisters, Betty and Charlotte; and 2 brothers, Arnold and Dan.

     Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Sparta with Reverend David Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery, Leon.

     Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
