John G. Rosenthal

 
 

John G. Rosenthal, 53, of Cloquet, MN, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospice Center, Duluth, MN after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 10, 1954 in Mondovi, WI to “Rosy” Glen and Jane (Chenoweth) Rosenthal.

     He graduated from Menominee High School in 1972 and later attended Purdue University receiving a BS in Management in 1977. He then worked in Chicago for Improved Insurance Systems until 1985 and AON Risk Services, as assistant Vice President of Brokerage Automation until 1995.

     From 1997 until 2003 he worked for Rebus IS based in London, England serving accounts in the England and Bermuda. In 2003, he co-founded the consulting firm Bench Strengths International with accounts worldwide. John traveled extensively for fun, and work. He traveled by air and sea. He logged over 4.6 million air miles.

     John was active in the Moose Lake, MN Relay for Life and collecting American Airlines Memorabilia.

     He is survived by aunts, and uncles, Charles and Iola Chenoweth of Black River Falls, WI, Lloyd and Margaret Chenoweth of Sparta, Mary Goeser of Sparta, Marge Parker of Waupaca; many cousins, including Fred and Nolene Harlson of Altoona, WI, Bill and Be Parker of Waupaca; many friends from the lake, American Airlines, and his worldwide consulting firm.

     He was preceded in death by his father, “Rosy” Glen Rosenthal; his mother, Jane (Chenoweth) Rosenthal Reynolds; his step father, “Buck” Lester Reynolds.

     Family services will be held at a later date with burial in the Mondovi Cemetery.
