Condolences

John J. Potter

John Jay Potter, 39, of Keystone, IA and formerly of Sparta, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at his home following an extended illness. He was born on November 12, 1966 in Black River Falls, WI to Dannie J. and Emma (Bloom) Potter. He served his nation in the US Military. On October 30, 2004, he married Gayle Jenson at Mt Vernon, IA.

     He is survived by his wife, Gayle of Keystone; his children, John “Jake” Potter Jr. of Keystone, Christopher Potter of Sparta, and Mark Pelletier, Jennifer Pelletier, and Chelsey Pelletier all of Keystone; his mother, Emma Bloom of Yucca, AZ; and his 10 brothers and sisters, Ed Potter of Garretson, SD, Dennis Potter of Sparta, Korey (Carinna) Potter of Sioux Falls, SD, Mike (Theresa) Arbach of Sioux Falls, SD, Bonnie (Butch) Owens of Sparta, Cathy (Mark) Jorgenson of Mauston, WI, Diana (Joel) Pfaff of Sparta, Dani Jo (Leon) Glessing of Sparta, and Marla Niemann of Sioux Falls, SD.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Dannie and his step-mother, Marge.

     Memorial services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, with Darrel Zitlow officiating.

     Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of services.

     The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
