Adeline B. Isensee, 84, of Sparta, died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born on January 4, 1924 in the Township of Little Falls, Monroe County, Wisconsin to Harold and Elizabeth (Berry) Cody. She grew up in the Cataract area and graduated from Sparta High School. Adeline married Curtis L. Isensee on January 29, 1944. After marriage, they lived on the home farm. She was a farmer’s wife and worked different jobs in the Cataract area. Her family and her religion were very important to her. She was very active in the Cataract United Methodist Church holding various offices. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and decorating cakes for family and friends for special occasions. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Kenneth L. Coffeen) Isensee of Madison, Joan (Ronald) Shawley of Sparta; grandchildren, Chad (Jessica) Bigler, Brian (Jennifer) Shawley, Holly (Brian) Barry, Daniel (Rebecca) Shawley; six great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Turville of Madison, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis; a granddaughter, Kristina Bigler; a sister, Loretta Feasel, and a special friend, Clarence Paul. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Cataract with Reverend Lon Jury officiating. Burial will be in the Cataract Cemetery, Cataract. Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. |
