Bernice S. Friedel, 71, of Sparta, died Monday, October 22, 2007 at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta, after a long battle with cancer.

     She is survived by her children, Marcia (Bruce) Peterson of Slinger, WI, Shirley (Donald) Fischer of Milwaukee, WI, Robert Adams of La Crosse, WI, Daniel (Tamera) Adams of Delaware, Loretta (Joseph) Thomas of Slinger, Paul Adams of Milwaukee, Denise (Arnie) Olson of Reedsburg, and Carl (Caryn) Friedel of Sparta; grandchildren, Linda, Nicholas, Shelly, Sharmane, Bryan, Natalie, Jonathan, Joseph Jr., Valerie, Gerald, Sasha, Jennifer, Brett, Ashley, Riley, James, Kyle, and Coltan; her great grandchildren; and sisters, Marion Scheller of Florida and Elaine Pandl of Milwaukee.

     Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta, with Father James Leary OFM Cap. officiating.
