Eva M. Brown, 92, of Sparta, died Monday, May 29, 2006 at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born on May 16, 1914 in Kansas to Edward and Grace (Beaver) Cravens. She moved with her family to La Crosse when she was a child.

     Eva moved to Sparta after school. She spent her life taking care of her children. She enjoyed playing cards and fishing.

     She is survived by her children, Cecil (Ruth) Brown of Oklahoma City, OK, Charles Brown of Dane County, WI, Ronald (Char) Brown of Sparta, Francis (June) Brown of Sparta, Gloria Huelsman of California, David (Sandy) Brown of French Island, WI, Janice (Tony) Andreas of Sparta, Sharon Blount of Sparta, Michael (Lorie) Brown of French Island, Mary (Richard) Pitel of Sparta; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a dear sister-in-law, Evelyn Riley of Sparta.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kenneth and Eugene; a wonderful son-in-law, Gary Blount; a granddaughter, Jacqueline Blount; three brothers, Mark, Orie, and Elco; and a sister, Florence Smith.

     Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, with Walter Levering officiating. Burial will be Saturday at 8 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

     Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
