Dorthy A. Johnson Isensee Toohey, 89, of Sparta, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born on March 17, 1916 in the Township of Little Falls, Monroe County, WI to George M. and Meta M. (Buhring) Johnson. She married Spencer H. Isensee in 1938. He passed away in 1959. She then married Martin Toohey in 1966. Martin passed away in 1973.

     Dorthy lived in Sparta most of her life. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sparta. She was very devoted to her family.

     She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Isensee of Minnetonka, MN; her son, Kerry (Karen) Isensee of Superior and their children, Karl and Kristen; a sister, Barbara (Arthur) Yahnke of Sparta; Martin Toohey’s children and families, Bill Toohey, Mary Lou Jenkins, Patricia Harrie, John Toohey, Jackie Stage, and Stan Toohey; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Johnson of Cataract and Betty Johnson of Cataract; a brother-in-law, Alvin Smith of McFarland, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Spencer Johnson and Kenneth Johnson; a sister, Erna Smith; and a step-brother, Robert Blinston.

     Memorial services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sparta. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

     Family and friends are invited to call at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.
