Dorothy C. Meyers, 92, of Sparta died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born on October 28, 1913 in Auburndale, WI to Anton and Teckla (Kundinger) Haffenbreadle.

     She moved to Sparta when she was a child.  She married Bernie Benjamin Beach on August 17, 1937 at St. Mary’s Church in Auburndale, WI.  They lived in Sparta.  He passed away in 1954.  She then married Andrew Meyers on September 22, 1962 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sparta. He passed away in 1978.

     She worked over 30 years at the Club Oasis in Sparta.  She worked hard all her life taking care of her family and home.  She was a great person and a wonderful cook.

     She is survived by her daughters, Marian Kisting of Sparta and Dorothy (Garald) Robertson of DeForest, WI; 2 grandchildren, Barb (Mike) Montgomery and Michael Ward both of Sparta; 2 great grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Isensee and Derek Montgomery both of Sparta; 3 great great granddaughters, Jordan, MacKenzie, and Kylie Isensee; a sister, Barb (George) McCarville of Janesville; a brother, Lawrence Haffenbreadle; 3 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara; a grandson, Steven; 2 sisters, Emma June and Margaret Smith; 4 brothers, Anton, Edward, Tony, and Joseph.

     Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta with Father James Leary O.F.M. Cap. officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sparta.

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of services.
