Loren F. Anderson, 61, of Cataract, WI, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Hillview Nursing Home, La Crosse.  He was born on May 24, 1946 in Black River Falls, WI to Frederick and Irene (Voigt) Anderson.  He grew up in the Cataract area and graduated from Sparta High School.

     He married Opal Lowrey on April 22, 1967 at Peace Lutheran Church, Prinz Creek.   They were later divorced.

     He worked at Foss Locker Plant, Nelson Muffler, and Northern Engraving. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photography.

     Loren is survived by his daughter, Toni (Matt) Anderson-Granahan of Sparta; his son, Ronald (Becky) Anderson of Sparta; 6 grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas, Zachery, Brooke, Wyatt, and Cody; his father, Frederick Anderson of Sparta; 2 brothers, Alan (Julie) Anderson of Sparta and Orlen (Bonnie) Anderson of Sparta; a sister, Ardel (Richard) Lindow of Black River Falls; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

     He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Anderson and a granddaughter, Amanda Anderson.

     Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Faith Ev Lutheran Church, rural Cataract with Reverend Nathan Berg officiating.  Burial will be in the Faith Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, rural Cataract.

     Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, on Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
