Frances L.
Antony, 92, of Rockland died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at her home. She was
born on June 19, 1913 in Rockland, Wisconsin to Chester and Clara (Moe)
Udell. She grew up in Rockland.
She
married Larry Antony on January 13, 1934 in Sparta. After marriage they
lived in Rockland. She was a life long resident of Rockland and enjoyed
going to many high school basketball games, including being a season ticket
holder of all Catbird and Bobcat basketball games. She enjoyed watching
baseball on T.V. , Brewers, Cubs, and also basketball games. Frances enjoyed
visiting with friends on Saturday evening at McDonald’s in Sparta.
A special
thank you for her caregivers, Linda and Sherry and many good friends.
She is
survived by her son, Raymond (Barb) Antony of La Crosse; two grandsons,
Jeffory (Ellen) Antony of Forest Lake, MN, and Kyle Antony of Appleton, WI;
three great grandchildren, Danielle, Tyler, and Emilie; sisters-in-law,
Beulah Udell of Gilbert, AZ, Mildred Larson of Cashton; brother-in-law,
Howard (Joan) Antony of Onalaska; many nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry on April 29, 1983; a
son, Dennis Antony; four brothers, Clarence, Arthur, Grant, and Spencer; two
sisters, Grace Irvine and twin sister, Fern Johnson.
Funeral
services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home,
Sparta with Reverend John Brouwer officiating. Burial will be in the
Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.
Friends
may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of
services.
Memorials
may be given to the Rockland United Methodist Church.
The
Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta is assisting the family with
arrangements.
